Corporate Overview

Founded over 40 years ago, Sartomer has pioneered the commercial development of products for cured-in-place technologies. The name, "Sartomer", is derived from Greek and Latin words together meaning "tailor made part", a concept of doing business that clearly sets Sartomer apart from the competition. Every aspect of Sartomer's operations is uniquely structured toward one common goal...to accommodate the special requirements of each individual customer, large or small.

Sartomer and its European Sister Company Cray Valley are strong international companies by any standard. As part of the chemical branch of Total, Sartomer Company and Cray Valley offer customers global access to technology, manufacturing and service. This means more unique solutions, dependable supply and consistently high quality products and services.  In Europe, UV/EB products are marketed by Cray Valley under the brand name Sartomer.

The Sartomer Division of Cray Valley, located in Paris, France, manufactures UV/EB products at its plant in Villers-Saint-Paul, France.

Sartomer, with its headquarters in Exton, PA United States, manufactures UV/EB products at two plants in the United States.

Together, Sartomer and Cray Valley provide products for formulators throughout the world.

A Team Committed To Meeting Customer's Needs:
Customers consider Sartomer one-of-a-kind company, uniquely structured to tailor to the special needs of each customer. Drawing from hundreds of products and global resources, Sartomer and Cray Valley work with each customer to make exciting new discoveries. This type of versatility cannot be achieved through mass production of a few canned solutions. It takes the talents of a multi-disciplined team working with individual customers. It takes in-depth technical expertise to help customers obtain the performance they need for their particular applications.

Quality And the Environment
Total Quality pays in today's global markets. Consumers want quality products and they want these products manufactured with safe technologies that do not pollute the environment. Sartomer and Cray Valley care about these quality and environmental concerns. Therefore, they proactively engage in a wide range of programs to protect the environment and maintain consistent high quality.

Responsible Care
On 23 September 1998, Cray Valley signed the French Chemical Industrys Engagement de Progrs.
LEngagement de Progrs is part of a voluntary program undertaken by the chemical industry with the aim of continuous improvement of all of its own or related activities involving the use of chemical products and affecting health, safety and the environment. The program originated in the late 80s and then expanded to the USA, where it was given its international name: Responsible Care. The French chemical industry took over this concept as of 1990 under the name Engagement de Progrs, run by the UIC (Union of Chemical Industry). All other national industry federations in Europe followed suit, adopting and adapting Responsible Care to their own situation.

Quality Management System
The Quality Management System of Sartomer Division of Cray Valley is based on ISO 9001 certification. This Quality Management System is committed to enhancing customer requirements and continual improvement.

Ethics and Corporate Responsibility
Sartomer is committed to ethical behavior in its relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, employees, communities, and the environment.
